The Afro-Heritage Association of Sudbury is a non-profit organization bringing people of African descent together to enhance our local community. Based in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, the Association was started in 2005. As part of the intricate tapestry of Canadian multiculturalism and in a community with many cultural groups, the Association was conceived to unite the many people of African ancestry within the community.
Since its inception the Association has raised money for many local organizations, including but not limited to:
Northern Ontario School of Medicine, Sudbury Developmental Services, Mission of TEARS and the Michaëlle Jean Sudbury Afro-Canadian Heritage Foundation/Fund.
